American Troops Admit Army Tortured Iraqis.

Three US army personnel has told Human Rights Watch that Army troops in Iraq beat and tortured Iraqi detainees on a regular basis. The alleged torture happed at a base in central Iraq. Some of the torture is described as incredibly sadistic, including breaking detainees legs with baseball bats, applying chemicals to detainees eyes and skin, kept in rooms at extremely hot and cold temperatures, and other techniques. The soldiers said the mistreatment was ordered by Military Intelligence personnel as an interrogation tactic and to “relieve stress.”
