Iraqi Officials Cut Relations And Demand Apology From The British.

Iraqi officials in Basra had decided to cut off relations with the occupation forces until the British military and government provide compensation and an apology for a British attack on an Iraqi prison that left 5 Iraqi civilians dead and 44 wounded.

The 41 member Basra Governing Council said the decision cut ties with the occupation came after a meeting Thursday night, as demonstrations have erupted in the city, calling for the British to leave.
