FEMA Taps Firefighters To Hand Out FEMA Fliers.

The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that despite New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin’s repeated pleas for additional firefighters to be sent in to help in the relief effort, as his own are exhausted, FEMA instead deployed 1,000 firefighters for community-relations, handing out fliers with FEMA’s phone number. In preparation for the work, FEMA placed these 1,000 firefighters in a Sheraton Hotel conference room in Atlanta, to undergo an 8-hour training course on sexual harassment.

However, some of the firefighters were assigned a different job. 50 of them were sent onto a flight headed for Louisiana. The crew’s first assignment was to stand beside President Bush for his photo-op during the tour of the afflicted areas.

That's the point. A complete waste of men trained to aid in rescue operations and firefighting. Exactly what was sorely needed.

This shows poor planning and lack of organization and management, at the very least. Not to mention a heartless disregard for the victims of the disaster.

Anyone could have done what they were using these men for. Even a trained monkey, like Bush for example, could have managed that job.

Boy of boy miamimiami,
Looks like you've been taken straight down to the mat yet again. Better tap out now before it gets really painful.
