Apparently, The Secret Service Has Nothing Better To Do.

The Progressive Magazine is reporting that the US Secret Service recently entered Currituck County High School in North Carolina to remove a student’s project that was made as an assignment on the Bill of Rights.

The school project asked the students in a senior civics and economics class to take photographs to illustrate their rights laid out in the Constitution. One student photographed an image of President George Bush with a red thumb tack through his head.

When the student took the photo to Wal-Mart to be developed a store employee called the Kitty Hawk police, who took the matter to the Secret Service.

Late last month the Secret Service sent officers to the school to question the principal and teacher, and to remove the photograph from the classroom.

The students at Currituck County learned a very important lesson. You have your first amendment rights, just so long as you don’t actually use them.
