US Detains Journalists In Iraq.
Reporters Without Borders are calling for the United States to release five detained journalists. Abdel Amir Younes Hussein, a CBS News cameraman has been held since April 5th. Agence France-presse journalist Ammar Daham Naef Khalaf has been detained since April 11th. Reuters cameramen Samer Mohamed Noor and Ali Omar Abrahem Al Mashadani have been held since June 4th and August 8th, respectively. Al-Arabiya correspondent Hameed Majed has been detained since September 15th.
Reporters Without Borders have said that all the detained journalists have been denied access to a lawyers, and have been denied the right to be visited by their families or their employers.
