Judy Miller To Testify.

New York Times reporter Judy Miller, who had been in jail for the past three months for refusing to identify her source for leaking the identity of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame, has been released from prison after agreeing to testify in court about the case.

Miller said her source “voluntarily and personally released me from my promise of confidentiality regarding our conversations.” That source was the Vice President’s chief of staff I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby. The NY Times says that Miller met Libby in July of 2003 and talked to him by telephone later that week. Strangely, in a statement from Libby, he said that he released Miller from the promise of confidentially a year ago.
