Americans Want A Democratic Congress.

A new AP-Ipsos poll has found that Americans want a change in which political party controls Congress, preferring that Democrats take majority control. The poll found that Americans favored a Democratic controlled Congress to a GOP controlled Congress by 49% to 36%.

With President Bush’s job approval at 40%, and approval of Congress at only 34%, Americans are increasingly growing tired of the scandal-laden Republican Congress. While only a third of the country believes the United States is heading in the right direction, 63% of Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing.
